When you think about stagnant water, do visions of algae, mosquitoes, dead leaves, pond scum and a gassy stench come to mind? Not a very pleasant thought! But, thoughts of a raging river or ocean waves, give us a completely different vision. Their water is clear, clean and moves powerfully along a predetermined path in harmony with the natural order. It is a dwelling place for life, health and refreshment.
Our lives are much the same. God is a driving force in the lives of all of His people. But, when we stop seeing God's hand at work in our lives and/or stop allowing Him to work in our lives, our lives become dull and stagnant leaving us feeling unfulfilled - just like stagnant water. Our lives can become stressful, lonely and depressing. Our lives lack that powerful flow of Living Water that brings health, life, peace and refreshment.
Are you searching for a deeper spiritual connection to God? Was there a time when you could hear Him clearly, but His voice has become faint? Then, it's time to seek His face again. That process begins with giving your life to Jesus Christ, and giving Him your heart. Stress is very detrimental to your health, and living in a continual state of stress and anxiety can be deadly. Often the voice of God can be heard when we are physically still and relaxed, and when we have put stressful thoughts out of our mind, leaving it a blank slate - receptive and focused on Him. Getting into this "place" is a different process for each person. For some, it may begin in a warm bath filled with rose petals or a soothing sheep milk bath, in a garden near a bubbling water fountain, praying under a relaxing shower, resting their head on an organic pillow or reclining on organic bedding, in a prayer room adorned with a Christian cross or Christian oil painting, near an oil warmer filled with sandalwood or lavender fragrance oil, enjoying the aroma of a Lily of the Valley scented soy candle, or during peaceful natural sleep. While none of these "things" will bring you closer to God, they can help you to relax and get into a "place" where you can meet God and commune with Him. A "place" where He can fill you with His life giving Living Water and bring refreshment, and restore His purpose, peace and joy in your life. Meet Him in that "place" today and start living your life according to His plan and purpose for you!
