It's so easy to be overwhelmed with distractions, "have to dos" and "too busy to dos". But, Jesus reminded us that when we give to least of these, we are giving to Him (Matthew 25:40: Truly I tell you that whatever you do for the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you do for Me.)" And, in Matthew 25:45, He reminds us that "Whatever you do not do for the least of these, You DO NOT do for me."
Many are so blessed we are overrun with blessing in comparison with others in the world! What He puts in your hand and in your heart is to be an instrument of blessing to those of His that do not have, or are in need of more. And, giving to the least of these does not always mean financially blessing them. A more important blessing may be a "hello" to someone that looks forgotten, a compliment to someone that looks sad, a wave to the young person who dances and waves on the corner for the tax company who is grateful he/she as a job, or a hug for someone that just needs to feel connected and loved.
What do you have to give the least of these? We all have something to give that will make a huge impact in the quality of life of one of His children! Open your heart and give to the least of these, for in doing so you are giving to Him!
