Happy Friday! This Max Lucado video, "Hope, Pure and Simple", is such a blessing. I encourage you to find quiet spot, sit back, relax and focus on the promises of God. Sure helps to relieve the stress of every day life when you realize that the God of the universe has made you sure and certain promises, and that He cares for you. So, absorb that truth and relax . . HE has it all under control!

I've always loved this Matthew West song "My Own Little World", but this Christ Church of the Heartland Production video interpretation of the song brought me to tears. We really just need to slow down, and take the time to reach out to others in His love. Having sympathy for those in need is one thing, but getting involved to help the poor, lost or hurting is what is needed. Sure, seeing who needs help is not as easy as the point made in this video, but if you open your eyes and your heart, He will help you to see those that He wants you to help and show love to.
When we give to others in love, we also recieve. The gift of knowing that you have shown someone that needs help His love, is an amazing feeling . . and we know He wouldn't want it any other way. Open your wallet and your heart to those in need. Today, I encourage you to become part of life, open your heart and share the love and blessings Christ has given you with those in need.

Happy New Year! I hope the new year is turning out to be all that you hoped it would be. Whether you spent the day at church, rested, enjoyed family or friends, it's your heart attitude that matters most! Keeping your heart in line with God's expectations is so important to Him, to you and to those around you. You can live each day running around to accomplish all the mundane tasks awaiting you, or you can live in love, peace, joy and harmony with His Word and be glad for each day as it comes. It's not what you do, it is heart attitude that determines the impact of the action. So in everything you do, do it for the Glory of the one who made you!
Christmas is my favorite time of the year . . . the celebration of Jesus' birth, family, sharing of love and appreciation of one another and celebrating all He has given us. But, just because "Christmas Day" is over, doesn't mean the celebration and sharing of love should end. The gift of our Saviour's birth is the only gift that keeps on giving ALL YEAR LONG. It's a gift worthy of celebration each and every day.
Recently, I have been praying a short prayer of thankfulness each morning before my feet touch the floor. It helps me to keep focus on what is important and to acknowledge that He is in charge of my day. He orders by footsteps, He lights my path, He loves me and He has plans to prosper and not to harm me! I can trust and believe in Him and His Word for they are certain, sure and true! I invite you to join me in giving Him glory each morning . . . even before your feet touch the floor.
