An Intimate Relationshp with Jesus Christ - A Most Rewarding Relationship!

Have you ever felt that something was lacking in your relationships? That there was a depth, level of trust and true satisfaction that you simply could not achieve in your relationships? Are you aching for more? If you are searching for the most deep, fulfilling and rewarding relationship of your life - then you can stop searching because the relationship you are seeking is one with Jesus Christ.

Ascension of Jesus ChristEach of us has relationships that are fulfilling for different reasons. Some relationships are based on spousal love or brotherly love, some are based on family ties, or spiritual beliefs, others on common interests or hobbies, some are based on emotional needs, yet others are based on how someone else makes us feel, some are work or career related, and others are based on similarity of political views and belief systems. God places people in our lives to help, encourage, grow, stimulate, promote or to help us as we work through spiritual issues. Other times, He places us in the lives of others so we can plant good hardy seeds in their lives.

Some of these relationships may last a short time, and others may last a lifetime. But, no matter how hard you and/or your friend(s) work at it, something is bound to happen that results in suspicion, jealousy, bitterness, distrust, or resentment -- even if it is a completely unintentional and unwanted distraction. Unfortunately, it is just human nature and it is bound to happen at some point. But, since Christ is not human our relationship with Christ is not affected by issues related to His human nature. It is only our own human nature that can confine the depth of this relationship, and only us who can allow it to grow and mature into its full beauty.

Webster's Dictionary defines "relationship" as the relation connecting or binding participants. They define "intimate" as marked by a warm friendship developing through long association. So, an "intimate relationship" could be defined as a warm connection that develops through long association in which the participants are bound together.

Great men & women of the Bible had Intimate relationships with God or Jesus Christ. We see this with Mary, Moses, Noah, Abraham, Jacob, David and many others in the Bible. Each had a Jesus Washing Peter's Feetdifferent relationship with Him, yet each was initimate. They walked through challenging times hand in hand with Him, loved and adored Him, sought His council, followed His teachings, received wisdom and knowledge, perservered in the plans of God, stood in faith, followed the will of God and believed in God and His word. They had faith that He loved them and that He would keep His promises. They understood that the love of the Lord was without revocation and surpassed all understanding. They knew that through the blood of the Lamb we were grafted into the family of God, but that this family has deeper, forever binding ties that were bought with the blood of the Lamb.
What Does the Bible Say About God's Relationship with Us?

Luke 20:38: Now He is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for to Him all men are alive and they are alive unto Him, and in definite relationship to Him.

Exodus 34:14: You must worship no other gods, for the Lord, whose very name is Jealous, is a God who is jealous about his relationship with you.

Psalm 40:4: Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods.
1 Corinthians 8:3: The man that loves God is known by God.
Psalm 24:4-: Only those whose hands and hearts are pure,  who do not worship idols and never tell lies. They will receive the Lord’s blessing and have a right relationship with God their savior.
